On Easter Day there will be a quiet, said Holy Eucharist (BCP) at 8:30 am. The Reverend Canon Doug Richards will celebrate, and The Reverend Bob Albert will preach.

There will be a Festal Eucharist (BAS) at 10:30 am. The Very Reverend Beth Bretzlaff will celebrate, and The Right Reverend Dr. Shane Parker will preach.

The music of the Queen of Festivals demands and inspires freshness and vitality. Here at CCC Ottawa our choirs and organists with trumpets and percussion will offer an explosion of sound from contemporary and late twentieth century sources. From the organ Jean Langlais’s “Incantation pour Un Jour Saint”, Charles Tournemire’s “Improvisation sur Victimae Paschali”, C-M Widor’s “Toccata”. From our Combined Choirs Michael McCarthy’s (late of Washington National Cathedral) “Vidi Aquam”, Gerre Hancock’s (late of St Thomas Fifth Avenue NYC) Easter Introit and Missa Ressurectionis and Ottawa-native Paul Halley’s setting of “Christ whose glory fills the skies”.  Not least, the singing of the entire community in hymns and descants of splendour and celebration!

Readings: Isaiah 65:17-25; Psalm Psalm 118:1-2, 16-17, 22-23; Acts 10:34-43; Luke 24:1-12.
