Experience the enchanting tale of Saint Nicolas, narrated through captivating music and rich harmonies, as we bring the legend to life, and celebrate the beauty of Christmas with A Ceremony of Carols, a delightful collection of medieval texts set to Britten’s exquisite melodies, with harp, children’s choruses and Cantata Singers. Special guests include: Tenor Nils Brown as Saint Nicolas; Harpist Caroline Leonardelli; The Boys and Girls Choirs of Christ Church Cathedral; Canterbury High School Music - Strings; a professional instrumental ensemble; and members of the audience! Cantata Singers of Ottawa’s Artistic Director, Andrew McAnerney, and Christ Church Cathedral’s Director of Music and Organist, James Calkin, will lead this joyous community celebration.
