A New Look for a New Time

The Reign of Christ is our Cathedral’s Feast of Title and it also marks the last week of the Christian year. As we move into a new time, Christ Church Cathedral Ottawa moves into using a new logo and brand that reflects a vibrant and diverse community that glorifies God and welcomes all people.

Finding its roots in the ‘west’ window, the symbol is a circle composed of lines representing the confluence of the Ottawa, Gatineau and Rideau Rivers (blue), our episcopal foundation and nature (purple), the Cathedral reaching out to the world (red), and a Celtic cross creating an open and welcoming hub at the centre. Please take some time to reflect and consider all the different feelings and messages which are held in this image.

This week new designs for the Orders of Service along with the Advent edition of ExCathedra are in use. Over the next while, watch for this vibrant and energized look as it is rolled out!
