COVID-19 NEW PROTOCOLS TO STAY SAFE AND HEALTHY
Now that COVID-19 is officially a pandemic, the Diocese of Ottawa has revised its Guidelines for Responding to COVID-19 and will be issuing an update of its Pandemic Response Plan along with a new Statement from the Bishop, all available online at www.ottawa.anglican.ca. The Primate has also issued a Statement to the Anglican Church of Canada available at www.anglican.ca/news/
PLEASE PAY CAREFUL ATTENTION TO THE FOLLOWING
a. Thorough handwashing is the first and best precaution against infections. Hand sanitizers are available at all entrances to the Cathedral and in the Great Hall.
b. Shaking hands is discouraged at this time, including during the exchange of the Peace. Please simply nod or smile when you say “Peace be with you.”
c. Collection plates will not be passed, but will be available to place your offering in as you go up for Communion.
d. Only bread will be distributed at communion. In keeping with the ancient tradition of the Church, receiving in one kind (either the bread only or the wine only) is considered to be full communion.
e. Parishioners who are ill are asked to stay at home to recover and to request home communion or a pastoral visit as desired.
