National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

On this day of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, join in this service of prayer and reflection, with gratitude to the Indigenous Anglican Elders who designed it for us all to be blessed. The dark history of relationship with Indigenous people in Canada does not begin or end with the events around residential institutions. Our journey will continue; we all have a role to play in dismantling racism (at the historic, systemic and individual levels) in Canada and around the world.

 

Creator God, let our ears, eyes and hearts be open on this day and moving forward, where we might recognize the many inequities between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples across the land. May we all work to demonstrate the reality that Every Child Matters, acknowledging that we are all children in your Kingdom.
