Hello and welcome to COVID Communiqué 51. The media seems to be overflowing with distressing news on COVID-19, at least somewhat countered by the increasing numbers of vaccines arriving. Distribution is improving too, especially as efforts focus on getting clinics to places where our frontline workers live. As you pray for people suffering from COVID and their families, remember in particular the people of India and their families here in Canada.
Remember also that every week is adding to the accumulation of stress and sadness for us all. People (we) are on edge. Let’s try to encourage everyone (including ourselves) to be that little bit kinder and more understanding, which we can do by drawing on our faith in Christ, the source of our hope.
If you have questions, please contact the helpline: C19helpdesk@ottawa.anglican.ca.
