A New WelcomeTo our Cathedral With great rejoicing, the new railings were installed at the end of last week! There is still some finishing work to be done but they are magnificent. When both sets of steps are finished, the forecourt will be embraced. And now when approaching along Sparks Street from Bay Street, the steps and railings indicate that there is something to see beyond the Vista. Thanks to Heritage Grade for their fine work! |

Boys and Lay Clerks' Choir TripPivots from Boston to Québec City The long-planned choir trip to Boston over the May Victoria Day weekend has been cancelled. Given the rhetoric and threats made by American leadership there was no appetite for spending money in the USA, or dealing with the worries and uncertainty caused by capricious decision making. The Boston choirs with whom our choirs were looking forward to singing with are, like our own music community, both disappointed and understanding. The good news is that the Boys and Lay Clerks will now be visiting Québec City instead! They will be supporting the Canadian economy, visiting beautiful parts of our country, and singing in the Anglican Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. All the generous donations received towards Boston will be used instead towards this Canadian adventure - thank you for your support. Hopefully a trip to Boston will be able to be explored again in the future. |

Lift Up Your VoiceSinging through Lent and Easter “All of creation,” wrote St. Hildegard of Bingen, “is a song of praise to God” – a swirling symphony all around us. So for this year’s 40-day Lenten journey, why not take the Christian musical treasury as your guide, classic hymns and sacred songs bringing together big ideas and beautiful melodies? As the days lengthen, the birds will sing – and so will we, joining in with creation’s symphony of sorrow and joy, death and new life. Lift up your voice! (Please note that the play lists are at the end of the brochure, available via the QR codes).
