Our Sunday morning service for this week is now available online. Our preacher this week is Canon Doug Richards, Vicar and Canon Residentiary at Christ Church Cathedral. This week the welcome, readings, Gospel and reflection are all offered along with the music as audio links. We hope you will share this service with others in appropriate ways, abiding physical distancing. The Cathedral office will remain closed Monday August 3 for the statutory holiday. Cathedral staff will be available Tuesday morning by phone or email if there is anything we can do to provide help or support. Wishing you, and everyone close to you, a very good long weekend.

COVID-19 Updates and Plans to Reopen on September 6
Bishop Shane has announced that on September 1 2020, our diocese will move from RED to AMBER according to our In This Together plan (https://bit.ly/3j7Pft5). Accordingly, the Cathedral is now making specific plans to reopen for Sunday service, with restrictions, on Sunday, September 6 — with the understanding that we will not move if conditions change for the worse between now and September 1. Additional details will be available over the next few weeks as the Cathedral Pandemic Task Force and members of Council confirm plans. The Diocese continues to update plans every Tuesday in the COVID Communique. If you have not seen it yet, we repost it on the Cathedral Facebook page and on our website. This is the best source of the most up to date information. |

Thank you for your financial support
During this pandemic we have continued to offer many of our ministries, though their shape has changed. Pastoral care, music, education, spiritual nurture, mission partnerships, worship... we have been exploring new modes to make all of these things happen. We thank the many parishioners who have continued their generous financial support of our work. There are many ways to contribute financially: pre-authorized monthly giving, cheques in the mail, Canada Helps, credit cards etc. We want to make it easy for you to give, so please call the office if you have an idea! We truly appreciate your support! |
